Welcome to 5.1 Music Inc., the first production music library to offer its entire catalog in 5.1 surround sound. Every note of every instrument of every track from every CD/DVD was written and recorded specifically with 5.1 surround in mind. All our music, whether it be ambient, cosmopolitan jazz, hip hop, piano, or rock, was written this year, so nothing is dated.

Music Licensing – Needledrop, Blanket, or Royalty-Free – You choose

Our licensing is flexible. If you're planning to use our music for broadcast, in addition to our standard needledrop licenses, we offer annual and production blanket licenses. If you're not planning to use our music for broadcast programming, we offer a non-broadcast, royalty-free license of the full library as well as individual DVD/CDs. With every DVD/CD purchase, you will receive both a DVD containing 24-bit/48 kHz mixes in 5.1 surround and an audio CD of stereo mixes.

5.1 Surround Sound

We offer dramatic music appropriate for sports, film scoring, TV scene development, games and news. What if you are placing commercials or promos on an HD station? 5.1 Music Inc's library allows your ads to sound just as lush and wide as the main programming.

You may ask, "So what if it's mixed in surround? I'm not doing any projects in surround yet." Here at 5.1 Music, we embrace the future without leaving the present behind. Our stereo mixes have more depth, more punch, more impact than any other music library, so you're more than covered there, too. Eventually, many of your clients will demand projects in HD and surround. The growth of HDTV and rise of home theater systems make this inevitable.

The Music

But what good is a great sound without great music? You'll find our music to be outstanding. You could even turn it up with the windows down and not be embarrassed. Can you say that about most stock music? At the very least, you can be sure that when you use our music in your productions, you will be getting the maximum emotional impact. We welcome comparisons to other production music libraries.

We also believe in the strength of collaboration. Our music is the result of collaborative efforts of our "Artists' Collective". We also believe in collaborating with you, our end users. We'll be releasing a new CD/DVD of music roughly every month. Each release revolves around a musical concept - one month it could be electric guitar, the next, percussion, the next, smooth jazz.
